When traveling to Rwanda, you are subject to local laws and their restrictions. Certain objects such as satellite phones, drones, etc. may be subject to regulations under penalty of a fine. If you have any doubts as you're packing your bags, it pays to do a little research. Know before you go!
The sockets and the electrical network in Rwanda are at the same standards as in France. No adapter is therefore necessary if you come from France. Riders from other countries may require an adapter.
The telephone network is generally good, and WIFI is available in the majority of hotels, but not everywhere, especially on the more isolated stages.
We advise you to visit the website of the US State Department or gov.uk website which provides travel advice for South Africa, Lesotho or Swaziland. You will find general recommendations according to the areas visited but also current information which may be useful. For riders from other countries, please consult with your local government for the most current travel information.
