- Passport, with an expiration date greater than 6 months from entry into the country.
- Visa : Vietnam offers visa-free travel to the citizens of 25 different countries, for stays up to 15 days! (Our trip is 12 days.) Visa-expempt countries include France, Germany, and England.
US passport holders must obtain a visa through the Vietnamese government's e-visa website.
For riders from other countries, consult with your government's Embassy website to determine your visa requirements.
- Travel insurance which covers repatriation and medical expenses.
- Copy of your plane tickets.
- Online pre-arrival registration is required via the official website: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn This process is free of charge; it must be completed within 2 days before your arrival and generates a QR code that you must present upon arrival
International Driving Licence is mandatory in Vietnam :
- It serves as a translation of your driver's license but does not replace it: be sure to bring both. We will need the copy of the first page in order to check the validity, but also of the inner page where the stamps are.
International driver's licenses issued by countries that have not signed the 1968 Vienna Convention are not recognized in Vietnam (United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, India, Ireland, Iceland, etc.). Check before booking your trip.
Motorcycle Insurance & Damage Deposit
A deposit is required from the riders. The amount is indicated on the Detailed Itinerary of your trip, and differs depending on the destination.
The deposit is made through a bank imprint via our partner Swikly, but it is not debited from your account. At the beginning and end of your motorcycle trip, you will take part in an inspection of your motorcycle together with a representative of Vintage Rides.
The deposit may be retained in the event of damage to the motorcycle, or to cover the insurance excess in the event of an accident.
